Capturing Memories

Wedding photography is an art that requires a unique blend of technical skills and artistic creativity. As a wedding photographer based in the West Midlands, I have had the privilege of capturing  memories for happy couples during their special days. In this blog post, I want to share with you my approach to wedding photography and how I strive to capture memories that will last a lifetime.

First and foremost, I believe in using a candid style of photography. This means capturing the wedding day as it happens, without too much posing or intervention from me. It isn't a case of blending into the background, more a case of blending into your wedding. I'll chat to people, play little games with the kids and end up hiding in plain sight. By doing this, I can document the day as it unfolds and capture all those special moments that make a wedding day so unique. From the bride getting ready in the morning to the first dance in the evening, I aim to capture every special moment.

Of course, every couple is different, and every wedding is unique. That's why I always take the time to get to know the couple before the big day. By building a friendship and understanding their wants and needs, I can ensure that the photos I capture are exactly what the couple wants. This means spending time with them before the wedding, getting to know their story, and understanding what they hope to achieve from their wedding photos.

I also believe in the importance of location. The West Midlands is home to some of the most beautiful wedding venues in the UK, from stately homes to rustic barns and everything in between. By working closely with the couple, I can help them choose the perfect location for their wedding photos, taking into account the season, time of day, and other factors that can impact the final result.

At the heart of my approach to wedding photography is a love for capturing memories. Weddings are a special day filled with emotion, excitement, and joy, and my goal is to capture all of that in my photos. I want the couple to be able to look back on their wedding photos and relive those special moments for years to come.

In conclusion, wedding photography is an art that requires skill, creativity, and a deep understanding of the couple's wants and needs. I approach each wedding with a candid style, building a friendship with the couple before the big day, and striving to capture memories that will last a lifetime. If you're planning your wedding and looking for a photographer who can capture all those special moments, get in touch, and let's be friends!
