2024 Wedding Trends

As the wedding season approaches, couples are eagerly seeking inspiration for their special day. If you're planning a wedding in 2024, let's explore the trends that promise to shape unforgettable moments and create a canvas for timeless memories.

1. Candid Cameras

This is perfect for me! I specialise in documentary style portraiture, capturing candid moments alongside posed pictures during your wedding day. I create realistic shots that capture the moment just as it happens, letting you thoroughly enjoy your time with your guests instead of being pulled away for hours on end to get that "portfolio shot".

2. Nature's Embrace

Nature-inspired weddings will continue to flourish in 2024. Couples are choosing venues that seamlessly blend with the natural surroundings. From lush greenery to garden-inspired florals, nature becomes an integral part of the celebration, providing a romantic and enchanting ambiance.

3. Intimate Celebrations

Covid-19 still has a lot to answer for and continues to adapt people's wedding plans, especially those who were due to marry during the pandemic. 2024 sees a rise in intimate weddings, where couples focus on creating meaningful connections with a smaller guest list. Intimacy allows for more personal touches, heartfelt vows, and genuine interactions, fostering an atmosphere of love and warmth.

4. Permanent Favours

Keep your wedding day permanently in the minds of your guests with the latest trend in wedding favours. Instead of sending loved ones home with monogrammed chocolates, consider something more permanent. Couples are treating guests to bracelets, key rings and personalised candles this year.

Turns out that Nicola and I were well ahead of the trend when we married in 2014, when we had little paracord men on keyring for our favours (thanks Dad for making them all!)

5. Sustainable Celebrations

Eco-conscious weddings are gaining popularity in 2024. Couples are opting for sustainable practices, from eco-friendly décor to locally sourced catering. Green weddings showcase a commitment to the environment while still creating beautiful and memorable moments.

As you plan your wedding in 2024, these trends offer a glimpse into the possibilities that await. Whether you choose timeless elegance, embrace nature, or make a fashion-forward statement, remember that the essence of your celebration lies in the unique love story you share. Here's to creating moments that last a lifetime!
